8th Graders Pursue Their Passions

Over the last six weeks, 8th grade English students have worked to pursue a passion of theirs. They have identified a task or project of interest that they wanted to pursue, have created a goal with action steps, and each week, and have either made progress towards their goal or adjusted their plan. On April 11 & 12, students proudly exhibited the fruits of their efforts, a diverse representation of their interests, skills, and passions. Each project contains research, reflection, multimedia components and creativity.  It is a wonder to experience the wealth of interests students have: dressmaking, learning to play the guitar, collecting and baking family recipes, writing an original short story, learning to speak Italian, learning ASL, improving photography skill, and more!
