The Scituate Public Schools provides services for students in accordance with the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) and state (603 CMR 28.00) regulations. Scituate Public Schools provides a continuum of special education services for students based on individual needs and Team recommendations.
The Scituate Public School District is mandated to evaluate students suspected of having a disability who reside in Scituate, including students who attend private schools. As a parent/guardian, if you are concerned that your student may have a disability and requires specialized instruction and/or related services to make effective progress, you may request an evaluation by sending a letter to the special education office or emailing the Director of Special Education at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students with Disabilities
