New Student Online Registration

New and Returning Student Registration Grades Kindergarten to Grade 12, and the ECC (Pre-K) Program.

Prepare for the Registration Process

Please make sure you have reviewed the registration process, completed requirements and deadlines for each level and have prepared to begin the Online Registration.

Create an Aspen Family Portal account

Scituate New Student Registration is done online in the Aspen Online Registration Portal using an Aspen Family Portal account.

  • Families new to Scituate schools need to create an account.
  • Families with a student currently enrolled should use their existing Aspen Family Portal account. If you need help accessing your account email aspenhelp@scit.org.

From a desktop, laptop computer: 

  • To start, go to: https://ma-scituate.myfollett.com 
  • Under the Login ID box, click Request an Account  
  • Complete the required information and click Create My Account
  • You will receive an email confirmation from Aspen. 
  • For new accounts your email address is the Aspen Logon ID.
  • For assistance with Aspen Portal accounts you can email aspenhelp@scit.org

Sign In and Begin Online Registration

  • Sign on to the Family Portal account and click the Initiate button on the home page in the Start a new New Student Registration section.
  • You will have the option to upload your required documents registration form's Documents Tab.
  • To resume working on a started Registration click the green check box.  
  • If delete a unneeded registration you can click the red X to delete it.

Race and Ethnicity Definitions

The Online Registration process requests Race and Ethnicity information for your child based on the following definitions:

  • Hispanic or Latino: A person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race. The term, "Spanish origin," can be used in addition to Hispanic or Latino.
  • Or, Not Hispanic or Latino

Race (you may select all that apply):

  • American Indian or Alaska Native: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of North and South America (including Central America), and who maintains tribal affiliation or community attachment.
  • Asian: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian subcontinent including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam.
  • Black or African American: A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa.
  • Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific Islands.
  • White: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.

Military Family Status

As part of the Interstate Commission on Educational Opportunity for Military Children the State of Massachusetts requires school districts to collect Military Family status information of a student's parent or guardian. The term uniformed services used in the registration form means the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard as well as the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and Public Health Services.
