Mandarin Students Visit Chinese Grocery Store and Restaurant

Practicing world language outside of the classroom is an essential (and fun!) way for students to see the benefits of knowing how to speak another language. The 8th Grade Mandarin students, along with High School Mandarin students, enjoyed a field trip to a Chinese grocery store and authentic restaurant. Students participated in a Scavenger Hunt Activity in the grocery store where they saw first hand the differences in food and diet. They then practiced their speaking in a Chinese Restaurant and ordered some delicious Chinese cuisine. Fun was had by all!
