Model United Nations goes to Montreal!
The Scituate Model United Nations club recently returned from the Secondary Schools United Nations Symposium (SSUNS) in Montreal. After months of researching and preparation, forty-four Scituate students debated, negotiated, and tried to solve current and historical issues with over 1,300 other students from the United States and Canada.
At the end of the four day conference, two Scituate students claimed awards at closing ceremonies for their contributions in their historical crisis committee about the Punic Wars. Congratulations to junior, Quinn Corkins, for being recognized as the "Outstanding Delegate" as well as to sophomore, Patrick McCarthy for being awarded the prestigious Viola Desmond Award for Advocacy.
