PSATs at SHS
When is the PSAT?
The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered:
- Tuesday, October 17th, for 10th graders
- Wednesday, October 18th, for 11th graders
Testing on both days will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. (Although this is a late start Wednesday, registered juniors must arrive at school by 8:00 a.m. for the 8:15 a.m. testing start time.) 11th graders may compete for the National Merit Scholarship in this administration.
What is the registration process?
All 10th and 11th graders who would like to take PSATs must register and submit payment online by Friday, September 29, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. The cost is $18. Contact school counseling if financial assistance is requested.
What is the format?
The PSAT/NMSQT is now a digitally administered exam.
- All students will need their school-issued Chromebook to test.
- Students may access the online, built-in calculator or bring their own to the test for the math portion of the exam.
