West Cork Sister City Committee Visits SHS

West Cork Sister City Visits SHS

Sixteen Scituate High School students have been accepted into the first-ever Ireland Exchange. Students will travel to West Cork, Ireland this March for a 10 day home-stay experience. They will participate in a school-sponsored exchange program with Skibbereen Community School. Our students will experience family life and student life while learning the history and culture of West Cork, Ireland.

In preparation for SHS student travel, members of the West Cork Sister City Committee visited Scituate High School on Wednesday morning to share their experiences with travel to West Cork Ireland. Students and their parents learned about the rich history and culture of this area of Ireland. They practiced the Irish language and prepared to live with Irish families while fully immersing themselves in the Irish culture. We are so thankful to the members of the Sister City Committee for sharing their knowledge and advice with us. Our students are ready to represent Scituate High School abroad!
