Share Our Story
The timing of this communication indicates that we have officially completed the first week of our “Cushing Journey” with students and we are excited for the month ahead. We had a strong start to the year, and I can’t thank our staff and school community enough for all their hard work and support last week. There were many new procedures, routines, and expectations shared with our students that will set us up for success this year.
The Scituate Public Schools are committed to ensuring a safe and nurturing educational environment for our students and staff. The district has worked hard to develop emergency plans, which include fire drills. We had our first fire drill at Cushing on Monday, and the feedback from the Scituate Fire Department was extremely positive.
Important Cushing Information
We have been pleased with both our arrival and dismissal at Cushing. As a friendly reminder, we ask that you please stay in the vehicle during drop-off and pick-up.
The CORI process should be completed for parent(s)/guardian(s) who are interested in volunteering. These forms should be completed at the Cushing School Main Office.
Shout Outs
We would like to welcome Hannah O’Gara back to Cushing for the 2024 - 2025 academic year. Hannah is studying at Northeastern University and working closely with Mrs. Gozzo as she aspires to become a School Psychologist. We are thrilled to have Hannah completing her internship experience here at Cushing.
