Jenkins Award Winners
The Jenkins Award, established in the 1800s by the Jenkins family who donated the property for our school, recognizes two fifth graders each year for their excellence in academics and citizenship. The winners are selected annually by the fifth-grade teachers.

Welcome to our newest teachers joining the Jenkins School community!
With Mrs. Duffey’s retirement, Mrs. MacDonald will be moving from Grade 4 to teach English Language Arts on the Grade 5 Team next school year
Ms. Caroline Thomas
Ms. Thomas will be joining the Grade 4 Team as a classroom teacher. She is a graduate of Fairfield University and the University of Massachusetts, holding multiple licenses in Elementary Education, Moderate Disabilities, and English as a Second Language. Most recently, Ms. Thomas taught 3rd grade at the Conservatory Lab Charter School.
Ms. Megan Keefe
Ms. Keefe will join the Kindergarten Team to fill the vacancy created by Mrs. Tichnor’s retirement. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and Merrimack College. Most recently, Ms. Keefe served as a year-long term kindergarten substitute in Hull. Having attended Jenkins Elementary as a child, she has also been an instructional paraprofessional and student teacher at our school.
Looking Ahead to the 2024-2025 School Year:
- June 30 - Deadline to sign up for bus transportation
- June 30 - Last day to order school supply kits online
- August 19 to 22 - Enroll Now in the Free Summer Acceleration Academy!
- August 20 - Class assignments for all students are available in Aspen
- September 4 - First Day of School, Grades 1-4
- September 4 - Kindergarten classroom visits, appointment times will be mailed on August 20.
- September 5 - First Day of School, Kindergarten
