Jenkins Celebrates Read Across America

Mrs. Flynn read to Mrs. Crehan’s kindergarten class.

• All classrooms had a special guest community reader.
• Thank you to our volunteers from Scituate Police and Fire Departments and Holly Hill Farm.

• Mrs. Fiddler’s students decorated their classroom door to illustrate The Empty Pot, a traditional Chinese folk tale in which the hero learns that honesty brings the best rewards.  
• This story reinforced the Purposeful People theme of “Honesty”.

• March 15: Channel your inner Irish pride! Wear green or St. Patrick’s inspired gear to celebrate!
• March 15: Elementary Report Cards available in Aspen
• March 21: Jenkins Talent Show, 6:00 pm, Jenkins Gym
• March 22: Think Spring! Wear neon colors or spring inspired clothes to celebrate the start of spring.
• March 25 and 26: Grade 3 English Language Arts MCAS
• March 28: It’s opening day for MLB. Wear your favorite team gear.
• March 29: No School
