Penguin Day

100% of Hatherly students have logged on to ST Math and have met our favorite penguin, JiJi!  To celebrate this great achievement we will have Penguin Day on 9/24.

What is Penguin Day?

  • All students are invited to wear black and white, just like a penguin!
  • Do you have penguin clothing already? Feel free to wear it! (Please no masks)
  • All grades will get some extra ST Math time, a little penguin prize, and have some waddling, good fun!

Count On Me

On Wednesday, September 25th we will have our first All School HERO Assembly of the school year.  Mr. Mundt and 5th grader, Lily, created a beautiful song Count On Me Hatherly.  We will all sing this song together at our assembly. Click on the photo below to watch the video.

Enrichment

  • On Friday, September 27th, we have author Maureen Harrington coming to share the story of Ivy the Very Determined Dog.  
  • Ivy, who at the age of 3, was diagnosed with a rare disease that left her back legs paralyzed.  
  • The presentation delivers the message of determination and inner strength.  
  • Thank you to our wonderful PTO for sponsoring this enrichment program.

This is Our House Celebration

This is Our House Celebration will take place on Monday, September 30th. This has become a wonderful tradition in Scituate where students and staff come together to celebrate our community and listen to some fun music and inspirational words from jamele adams. 

PTO School Store

The PTO school store will start back up on Thursday, October 3rd.  Please note the day change!  For more information please visit the Hatherly PTO website.

Expectations Night

On Wednesday night, Hatherly hosted our Expectations Night. Families and staff were treated to a delicious barbecue hosted by our fabulous PTO and were then able to visit their students’ classrooms.

Safety

  • Please know that Scituate Public Schools works closely with the Scituate Police Department and has a robust security plan in place. 
  • All doors to the building are always locked.
  • We practice fire and lockdown drills with our students during the school year. 
  • The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority.
