Welcome Back, Hatherly Hornets!
Our first day of school is Wednesday, September 4th. We are so excited to see you!
Arrival and Dismissal Procedure
- Doors open at 8:40 and classes start at 8:55am. All students will enter the front door.
- Dismissal is at 3:25.
- Staff will be outside to assist the students during drop off and pick up.
- Please help us to keep drop off and pick up times timely and efficient. Parents and caregivers should remain in the car at all times. Respectfully, we ask that, if you need to get out of the car to assist your child, please park in a spot and walk your child to the door.
- Please make sure that your child knows how they will be going home: walker, bus, car rider. Please send an email to the office or a note with your child for any changes in dismissal.
Breakfast/Lunch:
- Breakfast and lunch are provided free of charge.
- Students can eat a quick breakfast in the cafeteria upon arrival.
- On Fridays, ice cream will be available for purchase for $1.00.
Smart Watches and Cell Phones:
- If students choose to bring a cell phone or a Smart Watch to school, they will be required to keep these devices in their backpacks for the duration of the school day, including on the bus.
- All communication from parents to students need to go through the office. Thank you for your cooperation.
School Kit
- If you ordered a school kit from the PTO in June, kits are available for pick up on Thursday, 8/29 from 12pm - 2pm in the Hatherly Gym.
- If you cannot pick up your kit, they will be delivered to your students classroom prior to the first day of school.
Important Dates:
- 8/29 School Kit pick up 12pm-2pm (if you ordered a school kit)
- 9/4 First day of school 1-12
- 9/4 Kindergarten Meet and Greet 10-11:30
- 9/5 Kindergarten First Day
- 9/17 Picture Day
- 9/18 Expectations Night ( 6:00-6:30 A-K 6:35-7:05 L-Z)
