Firefighter Portrait & Presentation

Mrs. Berton and her second grade art classes created beautiful portraits of our firefighters as a thank you for their service to our community.  Once the portraits were completed they presented them to members of the Fire Department with cookies as a token of appreciation.

The Week of Many Field Trips

Thank you to our amazing PTO for funding all Field trip admissions and transportation costs!

Grade 1: Blake Planetarium & Nelson Park

On Tuesday, our first grade students visited the Blake Planetarium and Nelson Park. First grade students learned about the earth moon and sun and its orbits as a follow up to their science units. They then had a picnic lunch at Nelson Park with some door playtime and had a blast.

Grade 3: Scituate Historic Sites

On Wednesday, third graders got to visit the historic sites of Scituate as part of our Social Studies curriculum. They visited the Irish Mossing Museum, the Mann House, and Lawson Tower. They also went on a scavenger hunt in the wildflower garden behind the Mann House, and worked together to locate many native plant species. What a wonderful day of local history!

Dress Code Reminder

  • Finally, the warmer weather has arrived! I just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about the school dress code:
  • Students should dress comfortably for school while wearing clothing that is well-suited for a school environment.
  • Clothing will cover the torso, midriff and backside, and have sleeves or straps.
  • Head and face will be uncovered. Appropriate headgear may be worn for warmth and protection outdoors, and inside for religious reasons or special circumstances.
  • Clothing, drawings, and accessories that display or promote negative messages are not permitted. Those negative messages could include drug, weapon, alcohol, gang, or tobacco-related information, obscenities, put-downs, stereotypes, sexual innuendo, or offensive words or graphics.

In Case You Missed It!
