Hatherly is Growing!

I am excited to share that Hatherly will have 3 Kindergarten classrooms and 3 First Grade Classrooms for the 2024-2025 school year.

Dress Code Reminder

Finally, the warmer weather has arrived! I just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about the school dress code:

  • Students should dress comfortably for school while wearing clothing that is well-suited for a school environment.
  • Clothing will cover the torso, midriff and backside, and have sleeves or straps.
  • Head and face will be uncovered. Appropriate headgear may be worn for warmth and protection outdoors, and inside for religious reasons or special circumstances.
  • Clothing, drawings, and accessories that display or promote negative messages are not permitted. Those negative messages could include drug, weapon, alcohol, gang, or tobacco-related information, obscenities, put-downs, stereotypes, sexual innuendo, or offensive words or graphics.

Spring Concert

  • The Spring Concert for 4th and 5th graders will take place on Thursday, May 30th at 6:30pm at the Performing Arts Center. Spring Concert Post
  • In the true spirit of a family concert, we respectfully ask that all children not performing be seated with their parents through the entirety of the concert. Students may not sit with their friends unsupervised. This allows for all students to support their peers and enjoy the show.
  • The in-school “dress rehearsal” will be held on Thursday, May 30th at 9:15 in the Hatherly cafeteria. If you are unable to attend the evening concert, you are welcome to join us at the dress rehearsal.

Character Strong

This month our theme is creativity. We will be looking at ways that being creative can help increase our sense of belonging and reduce anxiety.

Grade 3 Physicals

  • This is a friendly reminder that every child in third grade is required to have an updated physical examination on file in their school health record.
  • If you have not yet provided an updated physical examination, please obtain a physical examination report from your child's health care provider and return it to the school.
  • Documentation can also be faxed to the school at 781-545-8786.
  • If you are unsure of whether this has already been provided, please reach out to Nurse Jessica.
