Our 2023 PTO raffle basket winners! Thank you to all our families who donated items for the baskets and thank you to our amazing PTO for putting them together.

Happy New Year!

I would like to take a moment to wish all of you a happy New Year. Thank you for being such a strong source of support for our community.

We closed out the year with a wonderful holiday sing-a-long hosted by one of our music teachers, Mrs. Hughes! Second graders, Eden Mitchell and Sceery Sykes, performed their own version of Jingle Bell Rock, changing it to Hatherly Rock! Maverick Gilligan joined Mr. P on stage to perform Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. A great time was had by all!

School Clubs

Our next round of clubs will begin the week of January 8th. We are happy to announce that we are hosting four clubs this winter: Art Club, Book Club, Newspaper Club, and LIT Team! Sign ups were already sent home to families.

MLK Celebration

The SPS 3rd Annual MLK Memorial will be held on January 15th at the Scituate Performing Arts Center at 1pm.

CORI Checks

Please be aware that all visitors to the building (PTO, guest readers, volunteers, etc) and chaperones for field trips must have an active CORI form on file. CORI’s last for (3) years, so if you think yours is still active please call and we can check first. Please print out the CORI FORM and send it to school with a copy of your driver’s license.

Reminders

Please call or email the office by 2 pm with any dismissal changes. Last minute changes impact dismissal procedures and the safety of our students. Thank you.
Please label all your child(ren)’s clothing, especially as more layers come to school. (We already have quite a bit of sweatshirts, hats, mittens, etc.)
If the temperature is below 40°, students need snowpants, hats, and gloves to be able to go outside to recess.
