Art Club (Grades K-2)

Join the Hatherly Art Club! Students in grades K - 2 will work on three main projects incorporating markers, colored pencils, cray-pas, and watercolors. The first two projects will be personalized to students' lives. The third project will connect with history, winter, the sea, and Scituate! The Hatherly Art Club begins on Monday, January 8th with our fourth grade teacher Ms.Cafferty and will run for 8 weeks from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. Book Club (Grades 1-3)

Students in grades 1 - 3 are invited to sign up for a book club with Ms. McGillicuddy! Book club will be after school on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 PM. We will read and discuss a chapter of a book each week. Students will engage with the text in a variety of ways such as creative writing, comprehension activities, vocabulary games, etc. There is a capacity of 15 students. Click HERE to sign-up!

LIT Club (Grades 3-5)

LIT is an acronym that stands for love, inclusion & trust. The LIT Team is a family of staff and students that meet weekly to nurture opportunities for love, inclusion & trust in our schools. The team is guided by Mrs. Nyberg working with students grades 3 through 5. The LIT Teams contribute to the development of cultural cuisine on lunch menus, give ideas for district wide events ( MLK Day, Juneteenth, PRIDE), and help to recognize heritage months and days of observance. The teams encourage collaborations with peers, generating ideas in building community.  The club will meet once per week on Wednesdays from 7:40-8:40 AM. This sign-up is for the second session, January 10 - March 6. There is a capacity of 20 students. If Session 2 fills up before your student enrolls, please be sure they know there will be one more opportunity to participate in LIT. Click HERE to sign-up!

Newspaper Club (Grades 3-5)

The Newspaper Club will run after school for 8 weeks on Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. The club is guided by our librarian, Ms. Rosen for students in grades 3-5. The newspaper club creates a newsletter called, "Happenings In the Hive" each month.  The first club will begin on Thursday, January, 11, 2024.  There is a capacity of 20 students.
