Hatherly School Winter Concert 2023

Hatherly School Winter Concert

Hatherly Elementary School:

  • Thursday, November 30th at 6:30 pm in the Center For Performing Arts at the Scituate High School.

The winter concert season is almost here!  We are so proud of the hard work and effort that our students have put into preparing for their concerts!  We are also pleased to introduce two new music teachers to our school district: Mr. Samuel-Wampatuck General Music teacher and Mr. Loretz-Elementary Instrumental Music teacher. Welcome Mr. Samuel and Mr. Loretz!

Grade 5 Band:

  • Students will meet on the stage and then be directed to a nearby music room to warm up at 6:00 pm.
  • Students should have their lesson book and folder with ALL of their songs with them.
  • Make sure students have all components of their instrument: mouthpiece, reeds, ligature, neck strap, drumsticks, etc.

Our 4th Grade Bands will not perform in the winter concerts as they are still learning the basic fundamentals of their instruments. We’ll hear them in the spring!

Chorus Students:

  • Chorus students should arrive at 6:15 pm dressed to impress!

In the true spirit of a family concert, chorus students will sit in the audience with their parents and family members when not on stage.  They will be called up when it is time for them to perform.  Students may NOT sit with their friends off by themselves. This allows for all students to support their peers and enjoy the show (band students will be warming up in a nearby music room).

Once again, we are excited for our upcoming concerts and look forward to seeing you there!  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s music teacher.

Sincerely,

Scituate Music Department
