Sleigh rides in Phys Ed!

Pear Tip of the Week

In our current polarized political climate, many of us may be nervous about spending time this holiday season with family members who don’t share our values or beliefs.  If you know that you’re likely to have a challenging interaction, it can be helpful to think about what you do and don’t feel comfortable discussing and to plan out your responses beforehand.  That could look like brainstorming some topics you feel good talking about and being ready to change the subject to one of them in the moment, practicing ways to share your own beliefs with kindness and empathy, or making a plan for how to leave a situation if needed.  Whether you end up being frustrated or pleasantly surprised, going in with a plan can help relieve some of the worry.

Spreading Holiday Cheer

As a part of Hatherly’s holiday calendar one activity was to ‘share the spirit’.  The Hatherly staff nominated several hard working local businesses to surprise with a treat. Sharing the holiday spirit from one working staff to another. The staff nominated our CVS pharmacy in Scituate Harbor and the First Parish Post Office.  Our office administrative assistants, Mrs. Flaherty and Mrs. Piatelli surprised these local super businesses on Thursday!
