This Is Our House!

We are excited to have all of our students back here at Hatherly!  This year we will again kick-off the year with a celebration of our community as we did last year. The celebration is entitled “This Is Our House! (TIOH)”, TIOH is for students only and will occur at each school in our district during the school day. Hatherly School will celebrate This Is Our House on Monday, September 19 at 9:00 a.m. This event will be led by Jamele Adams and feature music alongside the art and voices of students! The goal of TIOH is to affirm love of education and our connection to each other as a community. 

Expectations Night Next Week! 

We are so excited to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year at Hatherly! We will be hosting “Expectations Night” on Wednesday, September 21. It is intended to be an informative evening and an opportunity for you to meet your child’s teacher. Teachers will be providing information about their grade level and giving families a glimpse into your child’s home away from home. The evening will be broken into two sessions. In an attempt to break classes into small groups, we suggest families with the last names beginning with A-K please attend the 6:00 session while families beginning with L-Z attend the 6:45 time slot. These times are meant to be guidelines not hard rules. If you have more than one student, you are welcome to attend any session necessary so you don’t miss out on meeting the teacher.  Families should remain together throughout the evening. Please do not allow students to explore the building independently. 

We realize this can be a busy evening for families. This year the PTO will be sponsoring a cookout at 5:00 on Flannery Field so no one has to worry about cooking. More information will be sent out soon.

Picture Day - Tuesday, September 27

Coffee Pond Photography will be taking our school pictures this year.  School pictures will be held on Tuesday, September 27th. Photographers will begin with our kindergarten students at 9:00 a.m. and then work their way up to our grade 5 students.  Order forms will be sent home next week. Or you may order online at www.coffeepond.com.
