Thank You Veterans!
Cushing Elementary was honored to have heroes for lunch on Thursday, November 9th! We hosted grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins who served in one of our military branches! Each veteran received a standing ovation as they entered our cafeteria, and joined us for lunch! Thank you so much to our service men and women, and thank you to the Cushing PTO for organizing this special event honoring our veterans!
Geography Game Show
Neal Nichols joined us again on Monday, November 13th for the “Geography Game Show” meeting with Kindergarten, first and second grade students. Our Kindergarteners were captivated by Mr. Nichol’s dynamic presentation and creative artistic ability, learning about shadows, shapes and solids!
Congratulations to All 4th and 5th Grade Turkey Trot Runners!
The 65th Annual Turkey Trot was held on Wednesday evening, November 15th at Hatherly Elementary School! There were a record number of fourth and fifth grade runners this year from all four elementary schools, and Cushing was well represented with many first, second and third place finishers. Great job Cushing Cats, and thank you to Mr. Sawyer for his hard work in organizing this event!
Mr. Sawyer gives all the Cushing runners a “Pep Talk” before the big race! Excellent job fourth and fifth grade participants! Happy Thanksgiving!
