Cushing Cat Connection
We had our first all school assembly on Friday, September 15th, “This Is Our House!” Mr. Adams, Mr. David and Mr. Barnes joined us all! The energy was high and we all had a great time!

We had lots of songs, dancing, and laughter, as our Kindergarteners participated in their very first assembly at Cushing!
Our fifth grade leaders spoke about “What It Means To Be Kind!’ They did a fantastic job!
Thank you to the Cushing PTO for providing our awesome tie dye shirts!
Mr. David played fun dance music to keep the energy high for all of us!
Cushing Expectations Night
We are very excited to welcome our Cushing families to “Expectations Night” on Wednesday, September 20th.
- 6:00 - 6:30 Last Names A-K
- 6:45 - 7:15 Last Names L-Z
- Children are welcome to attend (but not required)
Character Strong
We have implemented our new social emotional learning program at Cushing, Character Strong. The theme for September is “Respect!” We believe that students should have safe, predictable places to learn where they feel included. Students should have healthy and helpful connections with teachers and classmates, practicing kindness and respect in our classrooms. At Cushing, we believe kindness is acting with understanding, generosity and care! Thank you to Mrs. Kain for creating a “Kindness” bulletin board and a “Respect” bulletin board!
