Cushing Cat Connection: Welcome Back!
Welcome back, Cushing families, caregivers, students, and staff! Although the sun is setting on the summer of 2023, we are excited to welcome back all the Cushing Cats for the 2023-24 school year! We are so excited to open our doors on Tuesday, September 5th (Students 1-5) and Wednesday, September 6th (Kindergarten) for the first day of the new school year!
Important Information
Good Morning Arrival!
- No changes from last year with arrival or dismissal
- Doors open at 8:40. Bus drop-off/walkers enter the front lobby
- Car drop off in the loop at the fourth grade/gym wing
- Parents/caregivers, please remain in your vehicle
- Staff is stationed to greet children
Dismissal!
- Parent pick-ups & walkers exit the front lobby doors at 3:25 (main front loop)
- Bus riders exit the fourth grade/gym wing (upper loop)
- Please remain in your vehicle
- Please post a family name sign on the passenger side window
- Staff members will verify your name and child for security purposes

Back To Cushing Ice Cream Social
Please join us for our 2nd Annual Back to School Ice Cream Social on Monday, September 4th, at 5:30 - 7:00 PM at Cushing! Thank you to our PTO - we are excited to see everyone!
Kindergarten Visiting Day
We look forward to having our Kindergarten Visiting Day on Tuesday, September 5th, with the following schedule:
- Last names beginning in A-K: Your Meet and Greet time is 10:00-10:30.
- Last names beginning in L-Z: Your Meet and Greet time is 10:45-11:15.
- Feel free to bring any supplies into school that day. The Kindergarten team will meet you in the Cushing lobby.
This is an informal time to check out your classroom and meet new friends!
